MEET DAVID LOWE
David Lowe was a special needs child, born into foster care. He overcame some difficulties which helped develop his ability to deal with adversity at a young age.
David's first love was school but it was difficult for him, having been diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia. He learned to achieve and overcome, regardless of what anyone else thought, said, or did. This is why education reform is such an important and personal issue to him.
HISTORY OF SERVICE
David was enlisted in the United States Army for over 12 years, mostly as a Military Policeman. He deployed multiple times and spent over 43 months in combat zones with a majority of that time being in Afghanistan. David is a disabled veteran and recipient of the Combat Action Badge.
After David's medical retirement from the United States Army, and while attending college, he volunteered full-time at the Dallas County Republican Party. In 2017, David's dedication was recognized by earning the Volunteer of the Year Award.
SERVANT FOR JUSTICE
In 2018, David moved from Dallas County to Tarrant County and graduated from college and the police academy. David served as an officer in both adult and juvenile detention facilities. It is here, in this broken system, he found his calling back to politics.
During the 2020 election cycle, David was asked to be the Republican Party of Texas North Texas Regional Director. This is where David's passion for grassroots politics exploded. During this time, he recruited, trained, and deployed hundreds of volunteers to keep Texas red.
Katie and Dean are a constant reminder of the importance to serve others and ignite his passion to make Texas a better place. David and his family have been living in North Richland Hills since 2018.
Against all odds, David chose to step up and run for state representative against a 5-term incumbent. David knocked on over 9,000 doors, personally delivered over 400-yard signs, and forced his opponent and her supporters to spend over $2,000,000. David ultimately lost in the run-off election but helped bring to light some very important legislative issues.
FELLOW AT THE CONSERVATIVE PARTNERSHIP INSTITUTE
David earned the prestigious opportunity to become a fellow at the home of the Congressional Freedom Caucus' CPI in Washington D.C. Hundreds of applicants apply each year and David was recognized as a top-tier conservative activist.
The teacher writes in David's yearbook "heartless Republican."
HISTORY OF SPEAKING UP
As early as high school, David has been an outspoken conservative. No matter what is being thrown David's way, he will stand firm on his principles.
Because David's relentless work ethic was on full display during his campaign, he was asked to become a co-director of True Texas Project Tarrant County chapter in North Richland Hills. TTP is the fastest growing conservative grassroots movement in the state.
CO-DIRECTOR OF TTP TARRANT
David remains focused on training the next generation of conservative activists and is consistently volunteering for Republican causes Tarrant and Dallas Counties.
ACTIVE-REPUBLICAN PARTY VOLUNTEER
David is a part-time college student. He has earned his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and currently pursing a master's degree in Public Policy.
