FOSTER CHILD

David Lowe was a special needs child, born into foster care. He overcame some difficulties which helped develop his ability to deal with adversity at a young age.

LITTLE DIFFERENT

David's first love was school but it was difficult for him, having been diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia. He learned to achieve and overcome, regardless of what anyone else thought, said, or did. This is why education reform is such an important and personal issue to him.

HISTORY OF SERVICE

David was enlisted in the United States Army for over 12 years, mostly as a Military Policeman. He deployed multiple times and spent over 43 months in combat zones with a majority of that time being in Afghanistan. David is a disabled veteran and recipient of the Combat Action Badge.

THE CONCERVATIVE

After David's medical retirement from the United States Army, and while attending college, he volunteered full-time at the Dallas County Republican Party. In 2017, David's dedication was recognized by earning the Volunteer of the Year Award.

SERVANT FOR JUSTICE

In 2018, David moved from Dallas County to Tarrant County and graduated from college and the police academy. David served as an officer in both adult and juvenile detention facilities. It is here, in this broken system, he found his calling back to politics.

FORMER CANDIDATE

Against all odds, David chose to step up and run for state representative against a 5-term incumbent. David knocked on over 9,000 doors, personally delivered over 400-yard signs, and forced his opponent and her supporters to spend over $2,000,000. David ultimately lost in the run-off election but helped bring to light some very important legislative issues.
